First Issue: Strange mouse was not working so reversed the order and all is good.
Second Issue: Intel blocks server drivers on the onboard 82579 NIC. Fix - When you go through the update driver option, don't choose the auto option, choose the browse for driver, then on the next screen say Let me pick from a list. This is where you need to go into the 'Intel Corporation' rather than 'Intel' and choose the 82579 network adapter.
It will warn you about installing the driver but it seems to work for me.
